Hilde Myklebust
Hilde Myklebust (b.1979) is well-established as one of the most
important poets in Norway, and is also the author of award-nominated children’s books and YA novels. In May 2020 she was awarded
with “Diktartavla” (“The Poet’s Writing Desk”), a prize given to a
significant Neo-Norwegian poet. This prize was funded by the international
recognized poet Olav H. Hauge. Myklebust has written three
critically regarded poem collections. Her YA novel Splintra (Splintered) was nominated to the prestigious Brage Prize for best Children and YA novel in 2022, and Uprisen 2023. The translation rights are sold to North Macedonia and Germany. The Piglet with the straight tail is her most recent publication.
